There are additional art pieces on the artist pages on the right. This is a collection of pieces of art from artists that do not have collections on our site.
The Haida painted their original designs on the front of their longhouses, canoes, paddles, masks, bentwood boxes, bowls, carved spoons, as tattoos on their bodies, on their woven hats, dance aprons, dance leggings and almost everything that they created. It wasn’t until the late 1960’s that they started to do the limited edition silk screen prints on paper for sale. Bill Reid and Robert Davidson did some of the earliest of these prints. There are many Haida artists now doing prints.
